With her sculptures, Beate tries to achieve a certain mood and aesthetic, appreciates the imperfection, in-completion, irregularity and beauty in decay, as well as the 'hand-made' in traditional ways, space specific. She uses found, discarded, ignored and neglected objects to give them new life. The environment, care for each other and respect lie close to her heart.
